How to score head-to-head matches — awarding points per period, penalties, and confirming the final decision as Lead Judge.
Match scoring is used for head-to-head competitions where two competitors face each other directly — taekwondo, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, BJJ, and similar combat sports.
When you open a match, you see both competitors side by side. The layout shows:
Tap the point button next to the competitor who scored. Common point types (configured by the organizer) might include:
Each tap immediately increments the score. If you tap by mistake, you can deduct a point or contact the Lead Judge to make a correction.
The organizer sets the number of periods. At the end of each period, the scores are locked for that period and carry over to the total.
The match interface shows a clear period indicator so you know which period is currently active.
One judge per event is designated the Lead Judge. This role has additional responsibilities:
If you're the Lead Judge, you'll see a Confirm Result button at the end of the match. Review the scores, select the outcome, and confirm.
