Approving Your Child's Account

When your child creates a participant profile and enters your email as their guardian, you receive an invitation email. This guide walks you through approving their account.

The invitation email

The email comes from LiveScoreboard and includes:

• Your child's name and date of birth
• A Claim Account button (or link)

Click the link. It opens the guardian claim page with your child's information pre-loaded.

The claim page

The claim page shows you:

• Your child's full name and date of birth
• Their email address
• The event(s) they have registered for (if any)

Review the information to confirm this is your child. If the details look correct, click Approve.

If the information is wrong — for example, the account belongs to someone else — do not approve. You can close the page without taking action; the invitation link will simply remain unused.

What happens after approval

Once you approve:

• Your child's participant account is marked as Guardian Approved
• The consent status on your guardian dashboard updates to Approved
• If the organizer required guardian approval for registration, that requirement is now satisfied
• You'll receive a confirmation screen

Your child's profile and event registrations are otherwise unchanged — approval doesn't modify any competition data.

Creating your own account during the process

If you don't already have a LiveScoreboard account, you'll be asked to create one before you can approve. Your email is pre-filled from the invitation — just set a password and your account type is automatically set to Guardian.

Guardian accounts are completely free. You never pay to create a guardian account or to manage your children's profiles on LiveScoreboard.

What if I didn't receive the email?

Ask your child to:

1. Sign in to their participant account
2. Go to their dashboard
3. Tap the Guardian Pending notice
4. Use Resend Invitation or update the guardian email address

Once they resend, a new invitation will arrive in your inbox.
