Setting Up Your Guardian Account

A guardian account lets you manage the LiveScoreboard profiles of minor competitors (children under 18) in your care. It's a free account type separate from Participant and Organizer accounts.

When do you need a guardian account?

You need a guardian account when:

• Your child is competing in an event and is under 18 years old
• The organizer or the platform has requested guardian approval for your child's profile
• Your child entered your email address as their guardian during their own sign-up

In Colombia and other jurisdictions that follow data protection laws for minors, guardian consent is required before a minor's competition data can be processed. LiveScoreboard enforces this automatically.

Creating your account

You'll typically arrive via an invitation email sent when your child created or registered their participant profile. Click the link in that email.

If you don't have an account yet, you'll be prompted to create one:

1. Your email is pre-filled from the invitation link — don't change it
2. Set a password
3. Your account type is set to Guardian automatically

Your account is free. Guardians never pay to use LiveScoreboard.

What you can do as a guardian

From your guardian dashboard you can:

• View all children linked to your account
• See the consent status for each child
• Approve a child's account by claiming it via invitation token
• Add children manually
